Please
Read Carefully Before Purchasing Services from CollegeTransit, Ltd.
Making your reservation
Use the CollegeTransit web
site in order to make your online confirmed purchase, or to register yourself
on a waiting list. If you are having difficulty making the purchase online,
please contact customer service via email at customerservice@collegetransit.com
Payment
We accept Visa, MasterCard,
Discover/Novus, and American Express. Your payment is not deemed made until
it is received by CollegeTransit. Waiting list customers are not
charged a fee until their status has been changed to that of a confirmed
passenger. Upon being confirmed, their credit card on file will be charged
in the amount of the registered trip. Entrance to the bus is subject to
presentation at departure of the confirmation email.
Purchase travel
Each time you purchase travel
through CollegeTransit you will receive confirmation of your travel itinerary
via e-mail.
Cancellation Policy
In order to serve the student
community and provide transportation for the greatest number of students
possible, CollegeTransit cannot accept cancellations or refunds.
Price Guarantee
Prices are confirmed at
the time of reservation and receipt of payment. Prior to receipt
of payment, prices are subject to change.
Tickets
Each passenger is required
to produce their printed confirmation email in order to gain access to
the motor coach. No exceptions will be made; passengers without tickets
will be prohibited from accessing the motor coach.
Identification
Passengers are expected
to have proper identification on their person during the trip. Identification
may include a valid Driver’s License and/or a current College ID.
Such identification may be required in conjunction with their printed ticket
in order to board the motor coach.
Participation
For the safety of everyone
on your trip, CollegeTransit retains the right to remove any person from
the trip whose conduct is dangerous or jeopardizes the safety of the other
passengers.
Travelers who
need special assistance
You must report any disability
requiring special attention to CollegeTransit at the time the reservation
is made. CollegeTransit will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the
special needs of disabled travelers, but it is not responsible in the event
it is unable to do so.
Baggage allowance
Due to limited coach capacity,
it is recommended that each passenger limit their baggage to a single carry-on,
plus, a large suitcase OR 2 medium size suitcases.
CollegeTransit, and its
partners, assume no responsibility for loss of or damage to baggage or
any of the passengers’ belongings.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted
while on board the motor coaches.
Surveys
CollegeTransit may request
that our passengers and site visitors take the opportunity to participate
in surveys regarding their experience with our site and service. We may
send these surveys via e-mail. You are under no obligation to respond to
any survey.
Request customer
support or submit questions/suggestions
When you request assistance
with viewing your itinerary, logging on to the CollegeTransit.com Web site,
or accessing your account, we will respond to you via e-mail or telephone.
Responsibility
CollegeTransit Ltd. (hereinafter
referred to as "the Company") is responsible to you in making arrangements
for the transportation services.
The carriers providing transportation
services are independent contractors and are not agents, employees, or
servants of, or joint ventures with the Company or its affiliates.
The Company reserves the
right to remove any person from the trip whose conduct is dangerous or
jeopardizes the safety of the other passengers.
The trip passenger agrees
that neither the Company nor its affiliates shall be liable for any damage,
loss (including personal injury, death, and property loss) or expense occasioned
by any act or omission of any supplier providing tour services, or any
insurer or insurance administrator of the Travel Protection Plan, or of
any other person.
Legal proceedings against
the Company may be instituted only in a state or federal court within the
State of Virginia, and any claim involved in such proceedings shall be
decided in accordance with the laws of the State of Virginia. Any legal
proceedings against the Company must be commenced within one year following
the date of trip completion. Neither the Company nor any affiliate shall
in any case be liable for other than compensatory damages, and you hereby
waive any right to punitive damages.
No person, other than an
authorized representative of the Company by a document in writing, is authorized
to vary, add, or waive any term or condition in this brochure, including
any term or condition set forth in the preceding provisions.
