Privacy Pledge
At CollegeTransit, we understand that making purchases online involves a great deal of trust on your part; we take this trust very seriously, and make it our highest priority to ensure the security and confidentiality of the individual user information ("IUI"). IUI includes information that can be linked to a specific individual, such as name, address, phone number, or e-mail address.  CollegeTransit only collects IUI that you voluntarily provide to us, and only stores the information you provide when purchasing travel.

Protecting your information 
We want our members and site visitors to feel confident about using CollegeTransit to plan and purchase their travel, so we are committed to protecting the information we collect. CollegeTransit has implemented a security program to keep information that is stored in our systems protected from unauthorized access. 
To protect the confidentiality of your IUI, CollegeTransit uses leading security technology and procedures, including SSL Technology and the services of VeriSign, the leader in online transaction security. Our systems are configured with data encryption, or scrambling, technologies, and industry-standard firewalls. When you send personal information to CollegeTransit over the Internet, your data is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure safe transmission. 

Use of your information
CollegeTransit uses your IUI for the purposes of responding to and processing your requests for CollegeTransit services. Information collected on CollegeTransit.com may be used to: 
      ·   Register you as a CollegeTransit passenger 
      ·   Plan and purchase travel 
      ·   Notify you of travel changes or reminders via email 
      ·   Send marketing communications or surveys to you 
      ·   Respond to your questions or suggestions 
      ·   Improve the quality of your visit to our site

Sharing your information 
CollegeTransit Ltd. does not sell or rent your IUI to anyone for commercial use or marketing.
CollegeTransit will only provide the necessary information, which may include IUI, to our authorized service providers that perform certain services or functions on our behalf.
It may be necessary for CollegeTransit to provide customer information to third parties, such as credit card companies, for the purpose of resolving disputes that arise in the normal course of business.
In certain circumstances it CollegeTransit may be required by law to disclose information to law enforcement, including IUI provided in obtaining our travel services.
CollegeTransit may also disclose, to the appropriate law enforcement bodies, information about individuals who poses a threat to CollegeTransit’s interests (such as customer fraud) or whose activities could bring harm to others.

Changes to the CollegeTransit Privacy Statement 
This Privacy Statement was produced and posted on CollegeTransit on March 1, 2003. CollegeTransit reserves the right to modify or amend this Privacy Statement at any time and for any reason. If there are material changes to this statement or in how CollegeTransit will use your IUI, CollegeTransit will prominently post such changes prior to implementing the change. Regardless of later updates, we will abide by the information privacy practices described in this Privacy Statement at the time you provided us with your information.

Credit Card Security
Your credit card is protected whenever you make a purchase or reservation with CollegeTransit. If any unauthorized charges appear on your credit card statement within 12 months of your last CollegeTransit transaction, report this fraud to your credit card provider and contact us immediately.

You can use your credit cards on the Internet securely by having all your transactions protected by powerful Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology supported by Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 4.0 and higher, and other popular browsers. 

SSL encrypts your credit card number, name, address, and telephone number before they travel over the Internet. This makes doing business over the Internet as secure as purchasing by telephone. 

SSL safe connection and secure transaction technology has effectively protected millions of customers who have transmitted their credit card numbers over the Internet in order to make purchases.

Terms & Conditions
Please Read Carefully Before Purchasing Services from CollegeTransit, Ltd.

Making your reservation 
Use the CollegeTransit web site in order to make your online confirmed purchase, or to register yourself on a waiting list. If you are having difficulty making the purchase online, please contact customer service via email at
customerservice@collegetransit.com 

Payment 
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover/Novus, and American Express. Your payment is not deemed made until it is received by CollegeTransit.  Waiting list customers are not charged a fee until their status has been changed to that of a confirmed passenger. Upon being confirmed, their credit card on file will be charged in the amount of the registered trip. Entrance to the bus is subject to presentation at departure of the confirmation email. 

Purchase travel 
Each time you purchase travel through CollegeTransit you will receive confirmation of your travel itinerary via e-mail.

Cancellation Policy 
In order to serve the student community and provide transportation for the greatest number of students possible, CollegeTransit cannot accept cancellations or refunds. 

Price Guarantee 
Prices are confirmed at the time of reservation and receipt of payment.  Prior to receipt of payment, prices are subject to change. 

Tickets 
Each passenger is required to produce their printed confirmation email in order to gain access to the motor coach. No exceptions will be made; passengers without tickets will be prohibited from accessing the motor coach.

Identification 
Passengers are expected to have proper identification on their person during the trip.  Identification may include a valid Driver’s License and/or a current College ID.  Such identification may be required in conjunction with their printed ticket in order to board the motor coach. 

Participation 
For the safety of everyone on your trip, CollegeTransit retains the right to remove any person from the trip whose conduct is dangerous or jeopardizes the safety of the other passengers.

Travelers who need special assistance 
You must report any disability requiring special attention to CollegeTransit at the time the reservation is made. CollegeTransit will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but it is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so.

Baggage allowance 
Due to limited coach capacity, it is recommended that each passenger limit their baggage to a single carry-on, plus, a large suitcase OR 2 medium size suitcases. 
CollegeTransit, and its partners, assume no responsibility for loss of or damage to baggage or any of the passengers’ belongings. 

Smoking 
Smoking is not permitted while on board the motor coaches.

Surveys 
CollegeTransit may request that our passengers and site visitors take the opportunity to participate in surveys regarding their experience with our site and service. We may send these surveys via e-mail. You are under no obligation to respond to any survey.

Request customer support or submit questions/suggestions 
When you request assistance with viewing your itinerary, logging on to the CollegeTransit.com Web site, or accessing your account, we will respond to you via e-mail or telephone. 

Responsibility 
CollegeTransit Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") is responsible to you in making arrangements for the transportation services. 

The carriers providing transportation services are independent contractors and are not agents, employees, or servants of, or joint ventures with the Company or its affiliates.  
The Company reserves the right to remove any person from the trip whose conduct is dangerous or jeopardizes the safety of the other passengers.  

The trip passenger agrees that neither the Company nor its affiliates shall be liable for any damage, loss (including personal injury, death, and property loss) or expense occasioned by any act or omission of any supplier providing tour services, or any insurer or insurance administrator of the Travel Protection Plan, or of any other person. 

Legal proceedings against the Company may be instituted only in a state or federal court within the State of Virginia, and any claim involved in such proceedings shall be decided in accordance with the laws of the State of Virginia. Any legal proceedings against the Company must be commenced within one year following the date of trip completion. Neither the Company nor any affiliate shall in any case be liable for other than compensatory damages, and you hereby waive any right to punitive damages. 
No person, other than an authorized representative of the Company by a document in writing, is authorized to vary, add, or waive any term or condition in this brochure, including any term or condition set forth in the preceding provisions.
