How do I order tickets?
1) Book Your Trip
2) Select Departure/Destination Locations
3) Input customer information
4) Print confirmation email
How do I select my password during
registration?
When you are inputting your personal
information during registration, you are asked for a password. Select any
password that you can remember for future use.
Email with Zip File Attachment - DO
NOT OPEN
We as users of email must deal with a number of issues on a daily basis, the
largest being email born viruses and "Spoofing" of our email addresses.
NEVER open an email that has a ZIP file as an attachment. Should you
receive an email from CollegeTransit that has a ZIP file attachment, delete it.
We do not send ZIP files. I
used CollegeTransit last year but the site doesn't recognize my email and
password. Why?
In an effort to maintain accurate
records and periodically "flush" the system, we deleted all user records from
previous years. Therefore even if you used CollegeTransit last year, you
will need to follow the normal ordering process for the first registration this
year.
When buying a ticket,
it says my email address already exists. What do I do?
If you have already purchased
a ticket with CollegeTransit, you will need to log into the system on the home
page prior
to placing your new order. This is done for security purposes in
order to protect our customers. We apologize for the inconvenience.
How can I tell if a drop-off
point is near my destination?
Select the “Destinations”
page. Scroll down to your school and look at the destinations listed.
A link will take you to
MapQuest for an area map.
Why does it say MapQuest
is an approximation only?
Since we try and use rest
stops off the main highways for our drop-off/pick-up points, they cannot
be accurately mapped using the MapQuest application. Therefore we
will use a nearby address in order to at least provide you with an area
map.
How do I know if seats are
available?
After you select your departure and destination locations, a list of trips
is displayed. Beneath the price of the trip is its status: Available or
Waiting List. What is the Waiting List?
The waiting list was originally
started in order to maintain a rolling sign-up for the bus service.
By creating a real-time waiting list, students can continuously sign-up
in order to reserve a seat on a future bus. By utilizing this process,
we attempt to accommodate the greatest number of students possible.
The more who sign-up for the waiting list, the better chance there is of
having another bus!
Do I have to join the
Waiting List?
No you do not. HOWEVER
you should keep in mind that joining the waiting list reserves your seat
on a bus if one is provided. If you do not put your name on the list,
you run the risk of not getting a seat on a new bus. In addition,
the more who join the list the better chances of providing another bus.
How do I remove my name
from the Waiting List?
You can sign in on the CollegeTransit
Home page by using your email address and password. The password
is the one you selected when selecting your trip. Once signed in
click “View My Trips”. There you can delete your trip request which
removes your name from the waiting list.
Please note that once you
remove your name from the waiting list you cannot be guaranteed a seat
on a new bus should one be provided.
Cancellation Policy
If you are on a Waiting List, you can
cancel that reservation at any time up until the trip confirms. Once a
trip confirms and your credit card is charged, we do not offer refunds.
How can I use your service
for my organization’s upcoming away events?
Simple. Look at the
information provided under “Group Charters”. Here we describe the
information needed in order to assist you, and the associated contact information.
I don’t see my college.
Will you service my campus?
CollegeTransit is always
looking at new schools to service. If you feel we can provide a benefit
to your campus community, please contact us at info@collegetransit.com.
What is a bus leader?
A bus leader is a student
who is selected to act as the spokesperson for the student passengers.
They will select the movies to be watched, and also help decide when and
where to make a rest stop for food if applicable.
